How do we know that salvation comes through confessing Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation comes through confessing Christ as Lord, accompanied by genuine belief in the heart.

The partnership between confession and belief is clear in Scripture. Romans 10:9 emphasizes that one must confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead. This duality illustrates that true salvation involves an inner faith that outwardly expresses itself through confession. When Jesus declares in Matthew 10:32 that those who confess Him before men will be acknowledged before the Father, it reinforces that salvation is linked to our acknowledgment of Him as Lord in both our hearts and before others.
