How do we know that salvation comes through grace, not law?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation comes through grace as demonstrated by Christ's fulfillment of the law, which we cannot achieve on our own.

The Apostle Paul teaches that we cannot be justified by the deeds of the law, as stated in Romans 3:20, because no flesh will be justified in God's sight by law-keeping. Instead, our salvation is based on God's grace, which is made manifest through Christ's life and sacrificial death. The new covenant, established on better promises, assures us that God will be merciful to our unrighteousness and that He remembers our sins no more (Hebrews 8:12). It is by this grace that we are brought into a relationship with God, underscoring that commitment to the law cannot save us but rather reveals our need for a Savior.
