How do we know that salvation is accomplished through Christ's death?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is accomplished through Christ's death as it fulfills the promises of God and is confirmed through scripture.

The death of Christ is central to the Christian faith as the very act that accomplishes salvation for His people. The life and ministry of Jesus, including His death on the cross, fulfilled what was prophesied in the Old Testament. Via passages such as Isaiah 53, we see that the Messiah was destined to suffer for our transgressions, thus bearing our sins and securing redemption. In Luke 9:31, we learn that during the transfiguration, Moses and Elijah spoke of Jesus' decease, highlighting that His sacrificial death was the culmination of God's redemptive plan. Additionally, understanding and believing in the work of Christ through His death is essential, as it is through this belief that we receive the grace of God and the promise of eternal life.
