How do we know that salvation is both objective and subjective?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is objective because it is grounded in God's eternal plan, and subjective because it involves personal transformation by the Holy Spirit.

Salvation’s objective nature is rooted in the fact that God chose His people before the foundation of the world, sending Christ to die in their place (Ephesians 1:4-5). This act is the foundation upon which our faith rests. On the other hand, the subjective aspect is personal and experiential, wherein the Holy Spirit regenerates the believer, changing their heart and desires (John 3:3). This transformation is often marked by a profound love for Christ and a hatred for sin, illustrating the active work of the Savior in the believer's life.
