How do we know that salvation is fully dependent on Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is entirely based on what Christ accomplishes, as emphasized in the New Covenant found in Hebrews 8:10.

The New Testament teaches that salvation relies solely on Christ's actions, not on any human effort. Hebrews 8:10 states, 'I will put my laws into their minds, and write them in their hearts.' This promise indicates that God initiates and fulfills the covenant through His Son, rather than conditional on human performance. The distinction between the Old Covenant—where the law is based on human adherence—and the New Covenant emphasizes grace and divine action, thereby affirming that believers are saved entirely by Christ’s redemptive work instead of their own merits.
