How do we know that salvation is in Christ alone?

Answered in 12 sources

Salvation is affirmed in scripture as being entirely in Christ, as depicted in Hebrews 10:14, where it states that He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.

The security and sufficiency of salvation through Christ is a recurring theme throughout the New Testament. Hebrews 10:14 clarifies that by one offering, Christ has perfected forever those who are set apart. This underscores the doctrine of 'sola Christus'—that salvation is found only in the person and work of Jesus Christ. The entire plan of redemption, initiated by God, was to ensure that all the salvation of His elect would be met, found, and completed in Christ. Therefore, believers rest not on their deeds, but on the completed work of Christ that secures their eternal standing.
