How do we know that salvation is just?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is just because it satisfies God's holy justice through Christ's sacrificial death.

The justice of salvation is grounded in how God, in His holiness, required a payment for sin. As Lamentations indicates, the suffering of Christ demonstrates that God takes sin seriously. Since the Son bore our transgressions, God could justly grant salvation to the unworthy. The death of Christ was not merely an act of mercy but was also an act of justice—where He, though innocent, became guilty for our sake, ensuring that God's requirements were wholly satisfied.
