How do we know that salvation is solely through faith in Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is through faith in Jesus alone, as He is the one who fulfills all righteousness required for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The doctrine of salvation through faith alone is deeply rooted in scripture, particularly in passages like Ephesians 2:8-9, which states that it is by grace we have been saved through faith, and this not from ourselves; it is the gift of God. This underscores that salvation is not something we achieve through works but is a divine gift received by trusting in Christ's finished work. Jesus clearly articulates in John 6:29 that the work of God is to believe in Him whom He has sent. Thus, any attempt to add human efforts to the gospel diminishes the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice.
