How do we know that salvation is true freedom?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is true freedom because it liberates us from the bondage of sin, Satan, and the law through the merit of Christ.

True freedom in salvation is affirmed in the Scriptures, as seen in John 8:32-36, where Jesus states that those whom the Son sets free are truly free. This freedom is multifaceted: it liberates us from the power and guilt of sin, the dominion of Satan, and the strictures of the law. For believers, Christ's sacrifice removes condemnation and grants them the ability to stand before God without guilt. The liberty experienced in salvation is both a present reality and an ongoing journey of growing in grace and knowledge of Christ, whereby we increasingly enjoy the blessings of that freedom as we walk in faith.
