How do we know that Scripture alone is sufficient for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture alone reveals the truth of salvation through Christ.

The doctrine of Sola Scriptura underscores that Scripture is sufficient and authoritative for our faith and practice. In James 1:18, we read, 'Of His own will, He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.' Salvation comes through faith, as Romans 10:17 teaches: 'So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' Scripture, therefore, not only guides us but also is the means God uses to reveal salvation and produce faith in the hearts of the elect. It’s crucial to realize that merely knowing the Scripture isn't enough — it must lead to a genuine faith in Christ.
