How do we know that sin is a disease in the eyes of God?

Answered in 1 source

Sin is considered a disease because it is fatal and pervasive, fundamentally corrupting our nature according to Scripture.

The sermon illustrates that God regards sin as a fatal disease, one that all humanity is infected with due to Adam's original sin. Romans 5:12 states, 'Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.' This inherent condition affects our ability to serve and worship God, rendering us spiritually dead until we come to Christ. The Bible presents sin as a loathsome affliction that cannot be cured by human means but requires the divine intervention of Jesus Christ, our great physician.
