How do we know that sincerity in worship is not enough?

Answered in 1 source

Sincerity alone cannot make our service acceptable to God; only the blood of Christ can.

While sincerity in our worship is a necessary component, it is not sufficient for acceptance before God. The Bible teaches that no amount of genuine devotion or heartfelt worship can replace the necessity of Christ's atoning sacrifice (Romans 3:25). It is only through his shed blood that we can be accepted by God. This underscores the principle that our approach to God must be rooted in the finished work of Christ and not in any external expressions of worship or intent.
