How do we know that spiritual life is given by Christ?

We understand that spiritual life is a gift from Christ based on scriptural evidence which asserts that mankind is inherently dead in sins and needs divine intervention to become alive. John 5:24 clearly states that hearing the word of Christ and believing in the One who sent Him results in everlasting life: 'he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life'. Therefore, raising the spiritually dead is an act solely attributed to the voice of Christ, who calls His sheep by name (John 10:3). It is this undeniable creation of spiritual life that makes hearing and responding to the Gospel possible, confirming the truth that one cannot come to Christ unless drawn by the Father (John 6:44).
