How do we know that the church is one body in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The New Testament affirms that all believers, regardless of their background, are united in one body through the Holy Spirit.

The concept of the church as one body is rooted in the teachings of the Apostle Paul, particularly in 1 Corinthians 12 where he illustrates that just as the human body is made up of many parts, so too is the church comprised of various members who are unified in Christ. The act of being baptized into one body through the Holy Spirit signifies this unity. Whether Jews or Gentiles, free or bond, all who believe in Christ share in a common identity and purpose within the church, reinforcing the idea that diversity is part of the divine design while still promoting overall unity.
