How do we know that the church is sustained by God's grace?

Answered in 1 source

The church is sustained by God's grace as He assures the growth of His people and church through His sovereign will.

The assurance of the church's sustainability lies in God's unwavering promise and grace. Ephesians 4:15-16 states that it is from Christ, the head of the church, that growth occurs through the effective working of every part. This reflects the truth that the church is not dependent on human strength or efforts, but on divine grace and purpose. Throughout history, even as many have opposed God’s people, the church has never been completely hindered, and will continue to grow until the return of Christ. His promise to add to the church ensures that every member is known and cherished, and His grace is the foundation upon which the church stands (Philippians 1:6). Thus, we see that God's tireless work within His church confirms our faith in His grace that sustains and nurtures us.
