How do we know that the devil is active today?

Scripture consistently warns believers about the active role of the devil in opposing God’s work. In 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Paul describes the coming of the wicked one as being 'after the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders.' These verses illustrate that the devil is not idle; rather, he employs deceit to lure people away from faith and truth. His ability to perform signs and deceive highlights his cunning nature.

Christians are called to discern between the truth of God's Word and the lies propagated by the enemy.
