How do we know that the doctrine of inspiration is true?

Answered in 1 source

The truth of inspiration is confirmed by the perfect unity and error-free message of the Bible.

The doctrine of inspiration is substantiated through the miraculous coherence of the Scriptures despite being written by over 40 different authors over a span of approximately 1,600 years. Each author wrote from various cultures, backgrounds, and circumstances, yet the Bible's message of redemption remains consistent and unified. As noted in 2 Peter 1, the prophecies came not by human will but as holy men spoke, moved by the Holy Spirit. This divine orchestration reflects the unique dignity of Scripture as the singular word of God, free from error and contradiction.
