How do we know that the Good Shepherd cares for us?

Answered in 1 source

We know Christ cares for us because He promises to protect us and provide for our needs.

The care of the Good Shepherd is evidenced throughout scripture, particularly in Psalm 23 where it is written, 'I shall not want.' This promise highlights that Christ will provide for all our needs according to His riches in glory. In John 10, Jesus further assures us by saying, 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.' This intimate knowledge speaks to His deep concern for His followers. He protects them and keeps them secure, affirming that no one can snatch them out of His hand, which signifies His divine protection and care.
