How do we know that the Gospel doesn't change over time?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel remains the same across generations, as it is the unchanging truth of Christ’s work on the cross.

Paul asserts that the core message of the Gospel does not change, regardless of varying understandings that may arise over time. The essence of what Christ accomplished on the cross is immutable and is meant to be preached with consistency throughout all generations. Paul’s confidence in the Gospel’s constancy underpins his ministry and his letters, as he urges the Corinthians to hold fast to this truth. By definition, if the Gospel can change, it devotes itself to the whims of human understanding rather than resting in the sovereign and eternal character of God.
