How do we know that the gospel has power?

Answered in 1 source

We know the gospel has power when it produces true faith and assurance in our hearts, leading to life change.

The power of the gospel is evident when it moves beyond intellectual assent to create genuine faith in the believer's heart. Romans 1:16 states that the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. When the Holy Spirit applies the gospel to our hearts, it brings conviction of sin and assurance of salvation, resulting in a significant transformation in our lives. The change from death to life, darkness to light, and the desire to follow Christ's example are all evidence of the gospel's power at work in a person's life.
