How do we know that the gospel must be preached?

Answered in 1 source

The command to preach the gospel is confirmed by Jesus in the Great Commission and the teachings of His apostles.

Scripture consistently teaches that the proclamation of the gospel is a divine mandate bestowed upon Christ's followers. In Romans 10:14 and Matthew 24:14, we are reminded of the necessity of preaching for salvation to reach the nations. Jesus' words, 'for nothing is secret that shall not be made manifest,' reinforce our responsibility to declare the gospel openly; we are stewards of God's truth, tasked with sharing it boldly. The effectiveness of our witness as believers hinges on our faithfulness to this task, which is foundational to the Christian life and the growth of God's kingdom.
