How do we know that the grace of God is essential for peace?

Answered in 1 source

The Apostle Paul illustrates that grace is the foundation for peace with God in Philippians 1:2.

In Philippians 1:2, Paul writes, "Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ." This passage underscores that peace with God can only be attained through his grace. Without God's grace, which comes as a gift through faith in Christ, we remain in our sinful state, estranged from Him. It is only through the redemptive work of Christ that we can experience true peace, as God extends His favor to sinners. The relationship between grace and peace is pivotal for Christians, for one cannot have peace without first experiencing the grace of God. This serves as an invitation for believers to rest in that grace, ensuring their hearts are anchored in the peace that surpasses all understanding.
