How do we know that the grace of God is true?

Answered in 1 source

True grace is identifiable by its origins in God's electing and justifying work, as described in Ephesians 2:8-9.

True grace can be discerned by its authenticity, which begins with God's electing grace, as stated in Ephesians 1:4, where God chooses His people before the foundation of the world. For grace to be considered true and saving, it must be rooted in this sovereign choice rather than dependent on human action. Furthermore, true grace encompasses justifying grace, which means that through Christ's righteousness, believers are declared not guilty before God. This grace operates not merely as a helping hand but as a complete transformation of status before God, unmerited and solely reliant on Christ's work. Thus, any grace that does not convey God's sovereignty and result in genuine transformation cannot be considered true grace.
