How do we know that the law is fulfilled in Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

The law is fulfilled in Christ because it was intended to point to Him as the one who perfectly obeyed and satisfied its demands through His life and death.

According to the sermon, the law, represented by the tablets of stone, could only be fulfilled by God Himself, and that fulfillment is realized in Jesus Christ. The law that was broken by humanity required a divine solution, which Christ provides through His perfect obedience and sacrificial death. As Romans 10:4 states, 'For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.' This verse encapsulates the Reformed understanding that the law, while revealing God's righteousness, could not offer a means of justification; it served as a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ, who fulfilled its righteous demands perfectly and offers grace to all who believe.
