How do we know that the law of sin and death exists in us?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that all humans are born with a sinful nature, thus experiencing the law of sin and death within themselves.

The existence of the law of sin and death within humans is affirmed in Romans 7:23, where the Apostle Paul speaks of the struggle between the flesh and the Spirit. He describes a principle where despite the desires to do good, evil is ever present. This innate sinfulness is not something we learn but is part of our nature as sons of Adam. When the Holy Spirit convicts individuals of their sin, they become aware of their spiritual condition, recognizing their need for deliverance through Christ. This deep-seated knowledge of sin is essential for salvation, as it drives us to seek redemption outside of ourselves in Christ alone.
