How do we know that the love of God is true?

Answered in 1 source

The love of God is displayed in the giving of His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Savior for His people.

The love of God is manifest through the sending of His Son for the salvation of His people. As stated in John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,' indicating that God's love is both demonstrable and sacrificial. This act of giving establishes a personal relationship between the believer and God, confirming His love in a tangible way. Furthermore, believers can be assured of this love in every circumstance, given that Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection are eternal truths that assure us of our acceptance before the Father.
