The apostle Paul argues in Hebrews 7 that the Levitical priesthood was insufficient and has been replaced by Christ's eternal priesthood.

In his discourse in Hebrews 7, Paul carefully articulates that the Levitical priesthood was inadequate for achieving perfection (Hebrews 7:11) and that God has set aside the old covenant in favor of a new priesthood established by Christ.
