How do we know that the old paths lead to truth?

The old paths, as referred to in Jeremiah 6:16, are rooted in God's eternal truths that stand the test of time, contrasting the fleeting insights of contemporary thought. God's Word is the measure of truth and it has remained consistent from the time of creation through to the present day. By adhering to these time-honored paths, believers can be sure they are following the righteousness of God, as exemplified through scripture. Jesus Himself defines the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), thus, by following Him and His teachings, one is assured of walking in the truth of God, which has been revealed across generations.
