How do we know that the rejection of the gospel is influenced by Satan?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Satan actively works to snatch away the Word from those who do not understand it.

In Matthew 13:19, Jesus explicitly states that when anyone hears the message of the kingdom and does not understand it, Satan comes and takes away what was sown in their heart. This illustrates the spiritual conflict inherent in the proclamation of the gospel. Satan, depicted as the wicked one, seeks to extinguish the seeds of truth before they can take root. The scripture indicates that underlying rejection of the gospel is often a result of Satan's influence, which manifests in doubts, distractions, and other obstacles that hinder genuine understanding and acceptance of God's Word. This understanding affirms the need for believers to pray for the lost and to recognize the spiritual battles surrounding evangelism.
