How do we know that the righteous are secure in the Lord?

Answered in 1 source

We know the righteous are secure because the Lord promises not to forsake them, as stated in Psalm 37:25.

In Psalm 37:25, David professes, 'I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.' This assurance is rooted in the nature of God as a maintaining power in the lives of His people. It emphasizes that the righteous, those in Christ, are upheld by divine strength and care, ensuring their security in all circumstances. The promise of preservation speaks to God's faithfulness in providing for His children both physically and spiritually. This security comes from a God who cannot deny Himself or His covenant, thus reinforcing the grace-based relationship believers have with their Savior.
