How do we know that there are few that will be saved?

In discussing the question of how many will be saved, we find that the Lord's response does not focus on the number but on our personal responsibility to strive for salvation. This implies that while the way to destruction is broad, the path to life through Christ is exclusive and requires a conscious decision to enter through Him.
