How do we know that trials can lead us to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Trials can draw us nearer to Christ by revealing our dependence on Him and granting us wisdom through prayer.

According to James 1:5, if any of us lacks wisdom, we are encouraged to ask God, who gives generously without reproach. Trials often bring us to a place of desperation, prompting us to seek divine wisdom. This reliance on Christ during hard times fosters a more intimate relationship with Him. Furthermore, experiencing trials reinforces our understanding of our need for His grace and mercy, thus bringing us closer to Christ, who is our ultimate source of strength and wisdom.
