How do we know that true believers can never lose their salvation?

Answered in 1 source

True believers can never lose their salvation because Christ's righteousness is imputed to them, and they cannot be charged with sin.

The assurance of a believer's eternal security hinges on the fact that salvation is secured by God's unilateral covenant of grace, wherein Christ fulfills all conditions required for salvation. Romans 8:33-34 articulates this beautifully, stating, 'Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.' Since true believers are justified and possess Christ’s righteousness, they bear no condemnation. Therefore, their salvation cannot be lost as they are eternally secure in Christ's advocacy.
