How do we know that true believers cannot lose their salvation?

The doctrine of perseverance of the saints affirms that true believers will not ultimately fall away from grace. This is evidenced by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the progressive work of sanctification in their lives. As the preacher notes, if a person is genuinely born again, they cannot lose that sacred status; they are eternally secure in Christ.
