How do we know that true believers will bear fruit?

Answered in 1 source

True believers bear fruit as a result of the transformative work of the Holy Spirit within their hearts.

Scripture teaches us that the presence of genuine faith in a believer's heart will naturally lead to the production of spiritual fruit. In Matthew 13:23, the parable of the sower illustrates that good soil—representative of a prepared heart—will yield a harvest of fruit. This is further confirmed in Galatians 5:22-23, which delineates the fruit of the Spirit as love, joy, peace, and more. The assurance of a believer's fruitfulness comes not from human effort but from the Spirit of God, who instills life and vitality into the heart, thus enabling it to produce fruit that glorifies Christ.
