How do we know that true believers will not leave Christ?

Answered in 1 source

True believers are kept by God's grace and will ultimately persevere in faith, as He faithfully holds them.

The assurance that true believers will not forsake Christ is rooted in the sovereignty of God and His faithfulness. John 10:28-29 offers a comforting promise: 'And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.' This emphasizes God's perfect preservation of His elect. Moreover, Revelation 3:18 encourages believers to seek the gold tried in the fire, implying that the trials they face serve to strengthen their faith. It is the unchanging grace of God that not only saves us but also sustains us in our walk with Him, ensuring that none of His chosen shall ultimately fall away.
