How do we know that true gratitude comes from Christ?

Answered in 1 source

True gratitude is evidence of Christ's presence in our hearts, as stated in Romans 5.

In Romans 5:1-5, the Apostle Paul explains that our justified state through faith provides us with peace, and this joy comes from knowing Christ's love alongside us through the Holy Spirit. If genuine thanksgiving and gratitude are bubbling up from our hearts, it reflects that Christ indeed lives within us. The love of God shared within us prompts true praise, indicating that our grateful responses are not solely of human effort but are a consequence of Christ's grace working in us.
