How do we know that true preaching is effective?

Answered in 1 source

True preaching is effective because it is God's Word that will accomplish His purposes and never return void.

We know that true preaching is effective because Scripture assures us that God's Word does not return void but accomplishes what He desires (Isaiah 55:11). When the Gospel is faithfully preached, it has the power to save, convict, and transform hearts through the Holy Spirit. True preaching involves a faithful proclamation of God's message, which, when accompanied by the Holy Spirit, leads to the fruit of faith in the hearers. This effectiveness is confirmed through the evidence of changed lives and the building up of the church.
