How do we know that true worship is essential to God?

According to John 4:23-24, God actively seeks those who worship Him in spirit and truth. This pursuit underscores the necessity for worship to align with His nature and command. True worship requires a heartfelt response to God's revelation of Himself and His truth, contrasting with false worship that may adhere only to traditional or superficial practices. God, being holy, desires worship that reflects reverence, gratitude, and acknowledgment of His sovereignty.
