How do we know that trusting in the Lord is the true source of safety?

The Scriptures affirm that those who trust in the Lord are safe from various forms of danger, including the wrath of God, as evidenced in 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11, which says, 'For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.' The idea of being truly safe is not derived from our own actions or feelings, but from the assurance of Christ’s finished work on the cross. Our safety is established not by our merit but by God's grace, which surpasses any false security we might build through works or feelings.
