How do we know that trusting in the Lord keeps us safe?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting in the Lord provides safety because He rules over all and makes all things work together for our good.

The assurance that trust in the Lord results in safety is rooted in numerous biblical promises. Romans 8 teaches that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. When we trust in Him, we acknowledge His sovereignty and power over all circumstances, as outlined in Genesis 20, where despite Abraham's failings, God's protective power prevailed. This means that in any trial or uncertainty, including sickness or poverty, our confidence in God guarantees our ultimate safety, even if we face temporary hardships.
