How do we know that unity among Christians is important?

Answered in 2 sources

Unity among Christians is vital as it reflects our shared faith and commitment to glorifying God in one body, as exemplified in Romans 15:5-6.

Unity among believers is of paramount importance as it mirrors the harmony expected within the body of Christ. In Romans 15:5-6, Paul urges the church to be like-minded, glorifying God together with one voice. This unity does not stem from uniformity but encompasses diverse backgrounds and beliefs while focusing on the core truth of the gospel. It is through this unity that believers can bear witness to the love of Christ, thereby fulfilling Jesus' command to love one another (John 13:35), and reflecting God's grace to the watching world.
