How do we know that we are acceptable to God?

Answered in 1 source

We are acceptable to God through our union with Christ, who is the perfect offering and sacrifice.

Believers are deemed acceptable to God through their identity in Christ. Ephesians 5:2 states that Christ's sacrifice is for a 'sweet-smelling savor' to God, indicating that in Him, believers are made pleasing to the Father. Our acceptance is not based on our own righteousness, but solely on the sufficiency of Christ's perfect offering and sacrifice for sin. This assurance is foundational for our faith, as nothing can separate us from God's love when we are in Christ.
