How do we know that we are accepted by God through Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

We are accepted by God in Christ because His sacrificial work satisfies divine justice, granting us justification and reconciliation with God (Ephesians 1:6).

Our acceptance before God is rooted in our union with Christ. Ephesians 1:6 states that we are accepted in the Beloved. This acceptance comes from Christ's sacrificial death and perfect obedience, which meets all the demands of divine justice on our behalf. When God sees us, He sees Christ. Our faith in Him results in justification, meaning we are declared righteous, and reconciliation, allowing us a restored relationship with God. This acceptance is not based on our performance but solely on Christ's perfect work.
