How do we know that we are adopted children of God?

The doctrine of adoption is foundational to understanding our identity in Christ. In Ephesians, we see that we are chosen and adopted as sons and daughters by God's grace (Ephesians 1:4-5). This adoption is not a result of our own choosing but is a sovereign act of God, choosing us in Christ before the foundation of the world.
