How do we know that we are among the elect of God?

Answered in 1 source

We can know we are among the elect if we recognize our lack of strength and ungodliness, leading us to trust in Christ alone.

The recognition of one's own spiritual inability and ungodliness is a mark of being among the elect. Romans 5:6 emphasizes that Christ died for the ungodly, which means that true believers are those who, when confronted with their inability to save themselves, cry out to the arm of the Lord for salvation. The awareness of our helpless state drives us toward Christ, revealing that God has indeed chosen us. Furthermore, Ephesians 1:4-5 reminds us that we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, marking a sovereign grace that ensures those whom He has called will respond positively to this revelation.
