How do we know that we are born again?

Answered in 1 source

Being born again is evidenced by faith, love for God, and a transformed life reflecting His glory.

The new birth, or regeneration, is a critical doctrine in Reformed theology. It signifies a profound transformation caused by the Holy Spirit, leading individuals to faith in Jesus Christ. In 1 Peter 1:3, it is stated that we are begotten again to a living hope, indicating that true believers experience a heart change that compels them to love God and His commandments. This regeneration results in a life of holiness and a desire to grow in knowledge of God, which indicates that one has truly been born again. Furthermore, the work of the Spirit in our hearts assures us of our identity in Christ.
