How do we know that we are born again by the Holy Spirit?

We know we are born again by the evidence of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and the resulting change in our lives.

The assurance of being born again is connected to the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Ephesians 1:13-14 explains that upon believing the gospel, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, marking us as God's own. This sealing is significant evidence of our regeneration and assures us of our inheritance in Christ. Furthermore, as seen in Romans 8:26, the Holy Spirit also aids in our prayers, indicating an ongoing relationship with God and proof of our new identity in Him.
