How do we know that we are children of light?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are children of light through the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, which includes goodness, righteousness, and truth.

The assurance of being children of light comes from experiencing the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Ephesians 5:9 specifically mentions that the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. This evidence indicates that we are no longer in darkness but are partakers of the light. The presence of these attributes in our lives reflects the character of Christ and confirms our identity as His followers. Furthermore, as believers, we are called to discern what is acceptable to the Lord, supporting the idea that our lives should mirror His light rather than reflect the darkness around us.
