How do we know that we are children of light?

Answered in 2 sources

Believers are identified as children of light because they have been quickened by the Spirit and walk in righteousness and truth (Ephesians 5:8).

Ephesians 5:8 emphasizes that believers were once darkness but are now light in the Lord. This transformation occurs through the work of the Holy Spirit, who enlightens the understanding of the believer concerning Christ and His redemptive work. As children of light, believers are called to live according to the fruit of the Spirit, which consists of goodness, righteousness, and truth. This new identity is both a privilege and a responsibility, requiring believers to walk circumspectly and avoid participation in the unfruitful works of darkness.
