How do we know that we are children of promise?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are children of promise because we are joint heirs with Christ and accepted through God's unbreakable promise.

The assurance of being children of promise lies in the immutable nature of God's counsel, as expressed in Hebrews 6:13-20. God made a promise to Abraham and confirmed it with an oath, demonstrating His commitment to fulfill His word. As believers in Christ, we have fled to Him for refuge, and this faith connects us to the hope that anchors our souls, affirming that nothing can separate us from God's love. Our identity as heirs comes from God’s sovereign grace, not from our deeds, and is based on Christ meeting all the conditions necessary for our salvation.
